Shades of Purple

While teaching a young friend of ours how to bake
and ice a cake, this is a four layered cake
we made for her mom's birthday.
I think we did pretty good!

For Valentine's one year I made heart shaped double layered brownies, a heart shaped pizza calzone, and even had heart shaped ice cubes in our drinks (though those aren't pictured here)!

The first day of school (2010---my oldest son's freshman year and my youngest son's kindergarten year), I made these school day cupcakes. They were a big hit!
